I am an amateur and do this as a hobby. My point being that you can take taliing pictures with cheap available cameras.

Please take your time to consider an image. I'd appreciate it if you could record your views in the "comments" section. I'll grow from them.

That's my bread / butter shot. I scored most of my runs glancing or flicking the ball. Other than that I used to play cover drive and square drive and occassionally on drive. Then of course there was one more thing that I played, forward defence. My friends say that's what I did most of the times. :)

No wonder you are an opener! That's the game of one.

I favored the square-cut (thanks to Vishy inspiring us), straight drive and that flick off the legs an Indian is born playing with!

Somehow, perhaps because of my parallax vision later on (I used to remove by glasses and play there being no plastic lenses then and certainly no soft contact lenses), I'd often miss the line of the cover drive by the crucial fraction. Would take the edge..but when it came off , wonderful! By the way, that's what i used to tell everyone if I got out...guys were kind not to ask me about my eyesight when the shots came off :)

I was a made to order middle-order bat but ended up playing a lot as an opener. My concept of defence was often attack...have some scars to show for it. Happiest hours were in the middle order.

That's a nice one SB. Your team mates got to be very nice.

Cricket is a fantastic sport and nothing could better the experience of being in the middle. I can understand why some players are too reluctant to call it a day. It's not easy to give up playing. But for my back I may have played on.

Cricket is the monarch among games...people say Golf is it, but for me cricket it is.
