I am an amateur and do this as a hobby. My point being that you can take taliing pictures with cheap available cameras.

Please take your time to consider an image. I'd appreciate it if you could record your views in the "comments" section. I'll grow from them.

Wow this is beautiful.

Scorpi said it was like a WWII shot.

This is the Safdarjung Aerodrome. Used to be Delhi's airport before Palam. It is now derelict and not used for flying except for VIP helicopters. The Delhi Flying Club has also been disbanded here.

For two reasons - 1) the PM's house and other sensitive areas are nearby and importantly, the flyover from which I took this picture has destroyed any chances of planes landing here.

Actually I was wondering how you managed this picture. Now I know. On the aspect of safety, many airports in our country can be easily accessed by terrorirsts. Coimbatore airport has no outer fence and it is a huge area.

Can you beat that? And Coimbatore is the southern industrial hub of India!

This was the aerodrome from which Sanjay Gandhi took off on his ill-fated flight. His plane crashed in the distant top right corner of the image (in the fog-covered area).

And think there was terrorism in Coimbatore in 1999 that took more than 100 lives. Add to it the fact that most of those buggers are out of jail.

Not in 1999 but in Feb 1998, serial blasts across Coimbatore

I think it is time the citizens stepped up the pressure on criminals and politicos. We have to be vigilant on all fronts.

I am an amateur photographer, keep a simple Kodak camera in the glove compartment of my car for Delhi reveals itself unexpectedly, and like to play around with the photos on Photoshop. Sometimes I end up with results that I like.
